James Green

James Green was an English-born Australian Methodist clergyman and military chaplain. He served in South Africa during the Boer War, in Gallipoli and Egypt, and in France and London during WWI. Serving as chaplain in the Boer War, he became the sole Australian news correspondent after the others were killed or evacuated. He wrote books about his experiences serving in the front lines.
