La novel·la 'Punyalada' de Marian Vayreda ens porta a l'Alta Garrotxa catalana de mitjans del segle XIX, on l'Albert, un jove hereu rural, es veu involucrat en un conflicte sagnant amb una banda de bandits liderats per l'Ibo, un personatge maliciós i violent. El conflicte s'inicia amb el segrest de Coralí, la promesa de l'Albert, per part de l'Ibo. En la seva persecució dels bandits a través del terreny difícil, l'Albert experimenta un descens a la desesperació i l'angoixa mental, reflectint la ferocitat tant del paisatge com de la societat en la qual viu. La novel·la es narra en primera persona per l'Albert, en forma d'unes memòries que hauria compartit amb l'autor poc abans de morir. La història subratlla la barbàrie de la guerra i les seves conseqüències devastadores en la psique humana, contrastant la brutalitat del conflicte amb la bellesa i la grandiositat del paisatge pirinenc.Book Details
