Royal Baking Powder Company

The Royal Baking Powder Company was a major producer of baking powder in the US, founded by Joseph and Cornelius Hoagland in 1866. It later came under the ownership of William Ziegler and his son, William Ziegler Jr. In 1929, the Royal Baking Powder Co. merged with four other companies to form Standard Brands, which became part of Nabisco in 1981. Today, Royal Baking Powder is still marketed by Hulman & Company as a subsidiary of Mondelez International.
