Against Celsus Book 3
'Against Celsus Book 3' Summary
Against Celsus is a major apologetics work by the Church Father Origen of Alexandria. It is a response to the writings of Celsus, a pagan philosopher who had written a scathing attack on Christianity in his treatise "The True Word." Celsus's attack was wide-ranging, accusing Christianity, among other things, of irrationality, immorality, and treason. Origen's response is a detailed and comprehensive defense of Christianity, in which he argues for the rationality of Christian doctrine, the ethical superiority of Christian morality, and the universal nature of the Christian message.Book Details
