'Born to Serve' Summary
Barbara is a young woman from a wealthy family who has always taken her privilege for granted. However, when her father loses his job, she is forced to find a way to support herself and her mother. Desperate, she takes a job as a servant in the home of a wealthy family. At first, Barbara is ashamed of her new position and tries to hide it from her friends. However, she soon realizes that there is no shame in serving others. In fact, she finds that she is happier and more fulfilled than she ever was before. Barbara's story is a reminder that service is not something to be despised. It is a noble and rewarding way to live.Book Details
