Colonel Greatheart is a story of love, loss, and magic set against the backdrop of the English Civil War. The novel follows the story of a young woman who is accused of witchcraft and must flee her home. Along the way, she meets a group of soldiers who are fighting for the Royalist cause. The soldiers are taken with the woman's beauty and intelligence, and they soon find themselves falling in love with her.
