'Duck-Footed Hound' Summary
Harky is a young boy who loves to hunt with his dogs, Precious Sue and Duckfoot. Old Joe is the biggest and craftiest coon in the Creeping Hills, and no one has ever been able to catch him. Harky is determined to be the one to finally catch Old Joe, and he believes that Duckfoot is the only dog who can help him. Duckfoot is a unique dog with webbed feet, which make him an excellent swimmer. He also has a keen sense of smell, which makes him a great tracker. Harky and Duckfoot set out on a journey to find Old Joe, and along the way they encounter many challenges. They must cross treacherous rivers, climb steep mountains, and face dangerous animals. But Harky and Duckfoot are determined to catch Old Joe, and they never give up. In the end, Harky and Duckfoot finally track down Old Joe and they have a thrilling showdown. Harky and Duckfoot emerge victorious, and they return home as heroes. Duck-Footed Hound is a classic children's adventure novel that is full of excitement, suspense, and humor.
