Giordano Bruno

Giordano Bruno

by J. Lewis McIntyre

Giordano Bruno was an Italian philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician who lived in the 16th century. He was a controversial figure who was condemned as a heretic and burned at the stake by the Roman Inquisition. Bruno's philosophy was based on the idea of a single, infinite, and eternal substance that he called the "One."
