'In Desert and Wilderness' Summary
In Desert and Wilderness, two children, Staś Tarkowski and Nel Rawlison, find themselves stranded in the African desert after their parents are killed by slave traders. With only each other to rely on, they must learn to survive in the harsh and unforgiving environment. Along the way, they encounter lions, leopards, and other dangerous animals, as well as friendly desert tribespeople and an elephant named King. Through their adventures, Staś and Nel learn about the importance of courage, friendship, and perseverance, and they come to appreciate the beauty and wonder of the natural world.Book Details
