'Niels Holgersson's Wonderbare Reis' Summary
De ondeugende Niels Holgersson woont op een boerderij in Skåne, Zweden. Hij is gemeen tegen de dieren en pest ze vaak. Op een dag vangt Niels een ondeugende kabouter en weigert hem vrij te laten. Als wraak werpt de kabouter een betovering over Niels, waardoor hij krimpt tot de grootte van een duim. Bang voor de dieren die hij ooit gepest heeft, vlucht Niels en sluit zich aan bij een groep wilde ganzen op hun reis door Zweden.
