'Pariah Planet' Summary
On the planet Dara, a deadly and mysterious plague known as the Blue Plague emerges, prompting a swift and draconian quarantine by neighboring worlds. The fear of contagion sparks a wave of prejudice and hatred towards Dara’s inhabitants, leading to isolation, mass starvation, and a descent into chaos. Dr. Calhoun, a member of the esteemed Galactic Med Service, arrives with his Tormal companion, Murgatroyd, to investigate the situation. As Calhoun delves into the complex web of politics, misinformation, and desperation, he faces the immense challenge of overcoming the barriers erected by fear and prejudice. He must uncover the true nature of the plague, confront the forces driving the quarantine, and find a way to alleviate the suffering of the Dara's people before it's too late. The story follows Calhoun's journey as he grapples with the ethical and medical dilemmas posed by the quarantine, confronting the devastating consequences of blind fear and the struggle for survival in a galaxy torn apart by prejudice.Book Details
