'Secret of the Ninth Planet' Summary

Burl Denning, a seemingly ordinary high school student, discovers he holds the key to saving Earth from a dire threat: an alien race that has established a secret energy-draining station on a planet in our solar system. This alien technology is slowly but surely draining the sun's energy, putting Earth on a catastrophic trajectory towards a supernova within two years. However, Burl is not alone in his mission.
