'sots feréstecs' Summary
Mossèn Llàtzer, a priest, tries to improve the lives of the poor people in his parish, but he fails because of the indifference of the people and the opposition of the powerful. Llàtzer represents the ideals of modernism, such as the importance of art and the need for social reform. However, he is unable to achieve his goals because society is not ready for change. The novel ends with Llàtzer leaving the parish, disillusioned and defeated.Book Details
