Theism or Atheism, The Great Alternative
'Theism or Atheism, The Great Alternative' Summary
Cohen begins by tracing the development of the god-idea from primitive to modern times. He shows how the idea of God has evolved over time, and how it has been used to justify everything from war to slavery. He then argues that there is no good evidence for the existence of God, and that the arguments for theism are either fallacious or based on wishful thinking. Finally, he makes a case for atheism, arguing that it is the only rational position in light of the evidence.Book Details
