'Aeneidis Libri XII' Summary
After the fall of Troy, Aeneas flees with his father, Anchises, and his son, Ascanius. After seven years of wandering, they reach Carthage, where they are welcomed by Queen Dido. Aeneas and Dido fall in love, but Aeneas is destined to found Rome. He leaves Carthage, and Dido kills herself. Aeneas continues his journey to Italy, where he faces many challenges, including a war with the Latins. Finally, Aeneas defeats Turnus, the leader of the Latins, and founds the city of Rome.Book Details
