'Blue Bird: A Fairy Play in Six Acts' Summary
On Christmas Eve, two children named Tyltil and Mytyl are visited by a fairy who sends them on a quest to find the Blue Bird of Happiness. The children are given a magic hat that allows them to see the souls of things, and they set off on their journey accompanied by a dog, a cat, and a loaf of bread. Along the way, they meet many different creatures, including the souls of Light, Water, Fire, and Sugar. They also encounter the forces of Night, Luxury, and Happiness. After many adventures, the children finally find the Blue Bird of Happiness, but they learn that it is not what they expected. The Blue Bird of Happiness is not a physical object, but rather a state of mind. It is found in the simple things in life, such as love, friendship, and family. The children return home with a new understanding of happiness, and they share their newfound wisdom with the world.Book Details
