Brewster's Millions

Brewster's Millions

by Winchell Smith

Brewster's Millions is a humorous novel about a young man who inherits a large fortune on the condition that he must spend a million dollars in one year without accumulating any assets. Monty Brewster, the protagonist, finds it more difficult than he expected to spend the money without getting anything in return. He tries to give it away, but people are reluctant to accept it, and when they do, they often use it for foolish purposes. Monty eventually realizes that the challenge is not just about spending the money but about learning the value of money and the importance of living a meaningful life.
