'Buried Alive' Summary
Priam Farll, a talented but extremely shy painter, finds himself mistaken for his deceased valet after his sudden death. The artist's introversion leads him to accept this false identity, even after his own funeral in Westminster Abbey. He marries a widow and settles into a comfortable life until financial difficulties compel him to return to painting. However, his style is recognized by an art connoisseur who exploits the situation for personal gain. Meanwhile, Farll's persistent shyness prevents him from claiming his true identity, setting the stage for a complex and intriguing tale of mistaken identities, hidden desires, and the complexities of human nature.Book Details
