'Capitán Veneno' Summary
El capitán Veneno, Don Jorge de Córdoba, es un hombre de carácter fuerte y temperamento volátil, conocido por su mal genio. Durante una escaramuza entre monárquicos y republicanos, en 1848, Don Jorge es gravemente herido. Dos mujeres, la viuda de un general carlista, Doña Teresa Carrillo de Azpeitia, y su hija Angustias, lo recogen y lo llevan a su casa. Don Jorge se recupera lentamente, pero la estancia en la casa de las mujeres se convierte en una situación compleja. La familia de Doña Teresa lucha por conseguir el reconocimiento de la reina Isabel II para el título de su difunto esposo, y sus escasos recursos económicos dificultan la situación. En este entorno, Don Jorge se enamora de Angustias, pero la diferencia social entre ambos, la diferencia de edad y los obstáculos que se interponen entre ellos, complican la relación. Mientras tanto, Don Jorge se enfrenta a los retos de su propio pasado y a las intrigas políticas que lo rodean.
