'Carmen' Summary
The story follows a young French soldier, Don José, who is stationed in Seville, Spain. He encounters Carmen, a captivating Romani woman known for her fiery personality and disregard for societal conventions. Don José, captivated by Carmen's beauty and allure, falls deeply in love with her, but their passionate relationship is fraught with danger. Carmen's independent spirit and love for another man, a bullfighter named Escamillo, fuel Don José's jealousy and obsession. Despite warnings from his superiors and his own conscience, Don José becomes entangled in a web of intrigue, violence, and betrayal.
