'Christmas When The West Was Young' Summary
In the Dakota Territory during the winter of 1879, a group of pioneers is caught in a blizzard while traveling to a Christmas celebration. As they struggle to survive, they are forced to confront their own mortality and the true meaning of Christmas. Among the group are a young couple expecting their first child, a widowed father with two young children, and a grizzled old scout. As the storm rages on, the group must band together to stay alive. They share stories, sing songs, and pray for deliverance. Through their shared experience, they come to realize the importance of family, community, and hope.Book Details
