Chronicles of Canada Volume 25 - The 'Patriotes' of '37: A Chronicle of the Lower Canada Rebellion by DeCelles

by Alfred Duclos DeCelles

This volume of the Chronicles of Canada series provides a detailed account of the Rebellions of 1837–1838 in Lower Canada (now Quebec and Labrador) and Upper Canada (now Ontario). The rebellions were motivated by frustrations over lack of political reform and a key goal was responsible government, which was eventually achieved in the incidents' aftermath.
