Ruhannah “Rue” Carew, an aspiring artist, learns a dark secret about her beloved father that shakes her world. Unknowingly, he becomes entangled in a dangerous game as various parties, including the enigmatic Eddie and the troubled actress Ilse Dumont, desperately seek to possess the box. Amidst the chaos and uncertainty, the lives of Rue, Jim, Ilse, and Eddie intertwine in extraordinary ways, revealing the profound impact of a shared past marked by a 'dark star.'
