The Derelict is a poem by Rudyard Kipling. It tells the story of a lone man who survives the wreck of his ship on a deserted island. The man is alone with his thoughts and his memories, and he begins to hallucinate, seeing visions of lost loved ones. As he struggles to survive, the man comes to terms with his own mortality and the need for redemption.
