Golden Web
'Golden Web' Summary
Stirling Deane, a wealthy mine owner in South Africa, faces a crisis when a former acquaintance, Jack Harman, claims to possess the original deed to Deane's Little Anna Gold Mine. Harman asserts that he is the rightful owner and demands the return of the mine. Deane dismisses Harman's claim, but shortly after, Harman is found murdered, and the deed he claimed to have is nowhere to be found. The police suspect Deane's involvement, but Deane insists on his innocence. He hires a private investigator, Anthony Trent, to recover the missing deed and clear his name. As Trent delves deeper into the case, he uncovers a web of deceit and corruption. Deane's business partner, Robert Manvers, is revealed to be in cahoots with Harman, and together they plotted to seize control of the mine. Trent's investigation leads him to a shadowy figure known as 'The Spider,' a ruthless criminal mastermind who operates behind the scenes, manipulating events to his advantage. With the help of Deane's loyal friend, Captain Jack Bonniton, Trent follows a trail of clues that takes them through dangerous encounters and close calls. As they close in on the truth, Trent and Bonniton find themselves in a race against time to expose the real killer, recover the missing deed, and bring the guilty parties to justice.Book Details
