Grace Harlowe's Second Year at Overton College follows Grace Harlowe, a young woman who is eager to make the most of her college experience. Grace is a bright and ambitious student, and she quickly becomes involved in campus life. She joins the debate team, the literary society, and the choir. She also makes friends with a diverse group of students, including Anne Pierson, a wealthy and sophisticated girl from New York City; Nora O'Malley, a fiery and independent Irish-American; and Jessica Bright, a shy and bookish girl from a small town.
