'Granada, Poema Oriental, Tomo 1' Summary
La leyenda de Zorrilla cuenta la historia del rey Boabdil, el último rey musulmán de Granada. Después de la caída de su reino, Boabdil es desterrado y vive exiliado en África. Un día, un ángel se le aparece y le dice que su destino es regresar a Granada y liberar a su pueblo de la opresión. Boabdil reúne un ejército y regresa a Granada, pero es derrotado por los cristianos. Boabdil es capturado y llevado a prisión, donde muere. La leyenda de Zorrilla es una historia trágica de amor, pérdida y esperanza. Es también una historia de la lucha del pueblo musulmán contra la opresión cristiana.
