'Joanna Eyre' Summary
Jane Eyre, a young orphan, is raised by her cruel aunt and cousins. She is sent to a boarding school, where she is mistreated by the headmistress. After leaving school, she becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall. There, she falls in love with the mysterious and brooding Mr. Rochester. However, their love is forbidden, as Rochester is already married to a mentally ill woman. Jane leaves Thornfield, but she cannot forget Rochester. She eventually returns to him, and they are finally able to be together.Book Details
