Richard Francis Burton's "Land of Midian (Revisited)" is an account of the second expedition to the Midian region of northwestern Arabia. The expedition, undertaken in 1877-1878, was sponsored by the Khedive of Egypt, Ismail I. Burton and his team traveled over 2500 miles by sea and land, mapping and documenting the region. The book provides a detailed account of the expedition's findings, including descriptions of the people, culture, and history of Midian.
