Royal Romances of Today
'Royal Romances of Today' Summary
In 1907, Kellogg Durland was commissioned by the Woman's Home Companion to write the story of the early days, courtship, and marriage of Alexandra Feodorovna, the future Tsaritsa of Russia. The following year, he was sent to Italy to write a similar account of the life of Queen Elena, and in 1910 he was sent to Spain to learn about Queen Victoria Eugenie. Durland's book is a fascinating look at the lives of these three queens. He provides a wealth of detail about their childhoods, their families, and their courtships. He also discusses the political and social climate of each country during the queens' reigns. Royal Romances of Today is a valuable resource for anyone interested in European history or in the lives of these three remarkable women.Book Details
