As the new baseball season begins at Oakdale Academy, a fierce rivalry emerges between three pitchers: Alex, the inconsistent but ambitious starter; Jake, the talented new kid from Texas; and Ethan, last year's starter who is determined to keep his spot. As they compete for the starting position, their personal ambitions clash with the needs of the team.
