'Seefahrt ist not!' Summary
Der Roman spielt um 1887 auf der Elbinsel Finkenwerder und erzählt von der Lebenswelt der Fischer in einer Zeit, die durch die beginnende Industrialisierung geprägt ist. Der junge Klaus Mewes, genannt 'Störtebeker', träumt davon, wie sein Vater Fischer zu werden. Seine Mutter Gesa fürchtet jedoch die Gefahren der Seefahrt und die zahlreichen Familien, die durch die Verluste auf See zurückgelassen werden. Klaus' Sehnsucht nach dem Meer prallt auf Gesas Angst und den Wandel der Zeit, der die traditionellen Fischerberufe bedroht. Als Gerüchte auftauchen, dass Störtebeker auf See verschollen ist, spitzt sich der Konflikt zwischen Mutter und Sohn zu und wirft Fragen über die Zukunft der Fischer und ihre Lebensweise auf.Book Details
