The Little Colonel's Christmas Vacation is a heartwarming and inspiring story about a young girl's journey of self-discovery and growth. Lloyd Sherman, the Little Colonel, is a spirited and independent girl who loves her home and family in Lloydsboro Valley. When she is sent away to boarding school for the first time, she is excited for the new experience. However, she soon becomes homesick and lonely. After coming down with a high fever, she is forced to return home for Christmas vacation. Initially disappointed, Lloyd soon discovers that there is much to love about her home and the people who live there. She learns the importance of family, friendship, and community. Through her adventures and experiences, Lloyd grows into a more compassionate and resilient young woman.
