Sei personaggi in cerca d'autore

by Luigi Pirandello

Sei personaggi in cerca d'autore is a play by Luigi Pirandello that explores the complex relationship between life and art. The play follows a group of six characters who arrive at a rehearsal demanding that the director and actors help them put on their play. However, it quickly becomes clear that the characters are not fictional, but are instead real people who have been displaced from their own story. As the rehearsal progresses, the boundaries between fiction and reality begin to blur and the characters' own identities come into question. The play was first performed in 1921 and has since become a classic of modern drama.
