La commedia racconta l'irruzione nella vita di una compagnia teatrale di sei personaggi che cercano un autore per poter rappresentare la propria vicenda. Questi personaggi, dotati di una vita propria, chiedono di poter mettere in scena la loro storia, ma l'impresa si rivela più difficile del previsto. Il confine tra realtà e finzione si assottiglia sempre di più e i personaggi diventano degli esseri viventi che si intrecciano con gli attori della compagnia, mettendo in discussione l'identità di ognuno e il ruolo stesso del teatro. L'autore, Pirandello, affronta in quest'opera temi quali la relatività della verità, l'illusione e la realtà, il rapporto tra arte e vita e il conflitto tra individuo e società.Book Details
