As Royle delves deeper into the investigation, he discovers that his own fiancée, Phrida Shand, was present at the flat during the murder. With suspicion cast upon her and his world turned upside down, Royle embarks on a perilous journey to uncover the truth and protect the woman he loves. Along the way, he encounters a cast of enigmatic characters, each with their own secrets and motives.
