Something Childish, but very Natural
'Something Childish, but very Natural' Summary
The poem begins with the speaker recalling a time when he was a child and would spend his days playing in the woods. He would imagine all sorts of wonderful things, and the world seemed full of magic. As he grew older, however, he lost this sense of wonder and imagination. He became more jaded and cynical, and the world seemed less magical. The speaker concludes the poem by saying that he longs to return to his childhood, when life was simpler and more carefree.Book Details
