'Spiegel, das Kätzchen' Summary
Spiegel, das Kätzchen ist eine Novelle von Gottfried Keller, die 1856 veröffentlicht wurde. Sie erzählt die Geschichte von einem Kater namens Spiegel, der einen Pakt mit dem Stadthexenmeister Pineiß schließt, um nicht zu verhungern. Pineiß braucht das Fett von Katzen für seine Hexerei und verpflichtet sich, Spiegel herauszufüttern. Im Gegenzug muss Spiegel sich schlachten lassen, sobald er fett genug ist. Doch der schlaue Kater windet sich heraus und am Ende ist Pineiß der Angeschmierte: Spiegel vermittelt ihm eine schöne junge Ehefrau mit reicher Mitgift, die sich aber in der Hochzeitsnacht als scheußliche alte Hexe entpuppt. Die Novelle ist eine Fabel über die Bedeutung von Intelligenz, Einfallsreichtum und darüber, keine voreiligen Entscheidungen zu treffen.Book Details
