When Edmund Trevor's wife is found murdered, the nation's capital is thrown into turmoil. A suspect is quickly apprehended and convicted, leaving many to believe the case is closed. But renowned investigative reporter, Natalie Sumner Lincoln, feels something isn't right. She finds the evidence presented at trial lacking and suspecting a conspiracy, decides to delve deeper.
