However, Annie's world changes dramatically when she rescues a wounded prairie dog. The other creatures fear the prairie dog, but Annie forms a unique bond with the creature, forging a special friendship that transcends the boundaries of fear. As Annie grows older, her life takes an unexpected turn when she discovers she has a magical connection to the world, and she is guided by a wise witch named Zauberlinda.
