'Adventures of Peregrine Pickle (Volume I)' Summary
Peregrine Pickle is a young man of good family and fortune, but he is also arrogant, impulsive, and self-centered. He sets out on a series of adventures that take him across Europe and into contact with a wide variety of characters, including a beautiful young woman named Emilia Gauntlet. Peregrine's adventures are often misadventures, and he frequently finds himself in trouble. However, he always manages to escape unharmed, and he eventually learns some valuable lessons about life and love.
