Against Celsus Book 1

Against Celsus Book 1

by Origen of Alexandria

Against Celsus is an apologetic work by Origen of Alexandria, written in response to Celsus's attack on Christianity. Celsus accused Christians of being irrational, deluded, and unpatriotic. He also claimed that Jesus performed his miracles using black magic and that his teachings were plagiarized from Plato. Origen responds to these charges by defending the rationality of Christian doctrine and by providing evidence for the truth of the Christian faith.
