'Alleen op de wereld' Summary
Alleen op de wereld vertelt het verhaal van Remi, een weesjongen die door zijn oom Vitalis wordt opgevoed. Wanneer Vitalis overlijdt, wordt Remi gedwongen om voor zichzelf te zorgen. Hij ontmoet een rondtrekkende muzikant, Signor Vitalis, die hem onder zijn hoede neemt. Samen reizen ze door Frankrijk, waarbij ze straatmuziek maken om in hun levensonderhoud te voorzien. Onderweg ontmoeten ze een verscheidenheid aan mensen, zowel vriendelijk als onvriendelijk. Remi leert de waarde van vriendschap, liefde en familie, en hij wordt steeds wijzer en volwassener naarmate het verhaal vordert.
