'Anne of Geierstein, Volume 1' Summary
Anne of Geierstein is a young woman who lives in a castle in Switzerland during the 15th century. Her father is a cruel and tyrannical man, and she is forced to live a life of isolation. One day, a group of Burgundian soldiers attack the castle, and Anne is taken prisoner. She is taken to the Burgundian camp, where she meets a young knight named Arthur Philipson. Arthur is kind and compassionate, and he falls in love with Anne. Anne and Arthur plan to escape from the Burgundian camp, but they are caught and thrown into prison. They are eventually rescued by Swiss soldiers, and they return to Anne's castle. Anne and Arthur are married, and they live happily ever after.Book Details
