'Bible (ASV) 02: Exodus' Summary
The book of Exodus is the second book of the Hebrew Bible and tells the story of the Israelites' liberation from slavery in Egypt under the leadership of Moses. After the Israelites escape from Egypt, they travel through the wilderness to Mount Sinai, where Moses receives the Ten Commandments from God. God also makes a covenant with the Israelites, promising to be their God and to give them the land of Canaan. The book concludes with the construction of the Tabernacle, a portable temple that will serve as the Israelites' place of worship in the wilderness.Book Details
