Bible (KJV) 09: 1 Samuel
'Bible (KJV) 09: 1 Samuel' Summary
The book begins with the story of Hannah, a barren woman who prays for a child. God answers her prayer, and she gives birth to Samuel. Samuel is dedicated to God from birth and serves as a prophet and judge for all of Israel. During his lifetime, he anoints Saul as the first king of Israel, but Saul's disobedience leads to his rejection by God. Samuel then anoints David as the next king, and David becomes one of the greatest kings in Israel's history. The book ends with David's death and the succession of his son, Solomon.Book Details
