Queen Vashti, the loveliest woman in the land, is banished from the kingdom for refusing to come to her husband's banquet. Hadassah, a beautiful young Jewish woman with a secret, is called to take her place. Taking on the name Esther, she moves into the palace, but when a wicked man hatches a plot to rid the land of Jews, her guardian asks her to take on a terrible job.
