The First Epistle of Paul to Timothy is one of three letters in the New Testament of the Bible grouped as the Pastoral Epistles. It is traditionally attributed to Saint Paul and consists mainly of counsels to his colleague Timothy regarding his ministry in Ephesus. The letter includes instructions on the forms of worship and organization of the Church, the responsibilities of its members, including bishops and deacons, and exhortation to faithfulness in maintaining the truth.
