'Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night (Arabian Nights) Volume 13 (Supplemental Nights)' Summary
The frame story of the Book of the Thousand and One Nights tells the tale of Shahrazad, a young woman who is forced to marry a king who has vowed to execute his new wife each morning. Shahrazad saves her own life by telling the king a story each night, and she leaves the story unfinished at the end of each night so that the king will be curious to hear the rest the next night. Shahrazad tells the king a total of 1,001 stories over the course of 1,000 nights, and by the end, the king has fallen in love with her and spares her life.Book Details
