Tres seminaristas buscan refugio en la casa de una anciana durante una noche de tormenta en el bosque. Uno de los seminaristas, al intentar entrar en el ataúd que guarda la anciana, se queda atrapado por una misteriosa fuerza. Durante las tres noches siguientes, el seminarista se enfrenta al horror y al miedo al ser perseguido por el Viyi, una criatura demoníaca de ojos penetrantes, que emerge de la oscuridad. El relato explora temas de miedo, superstición, oscuridad y la lucha contra lo sobrenatural.
