呐喊 (Call To Arms)

呐喊 (Call to Arms)

by Xun Lu

"Call to Arms" is a collection of fourteen short stories written by Lu Xun, one of the most influential figures in modern Chinese literature. The stories, written between 1918 and 1922, are considered landmarks in the history of Chinese literature, as they marked a departure from traditional Chinese literary forms and themes and embraced modern themes and techniques. The stories explore a wide range of social and political issues, including the plight of the poor and marginalized, the hypocrisy of the ruling class, and the search for meaning in a rapidly changing world. Lu Xun's sharp wit and incisive social criticism make these stories as relevant today as they were when they were first written.
